A Unit-Fine fully automatic can lid feeder has been successfully installed at a Coca-Cola production facility. The system is entirely automated, allowing the lid packages—still wrapped in their protective cardboard tubes—to be loaded into the machine using a forklift.
The device transports the cardboard tubes containing the lids toward the machine’s core, where the packaging is automatically removed and separated. The lids are then transferred onto the conveying line and move toward the filling equipment. If any lid is incorrectly positioned, the system detects it and automatically ejects it from the line—without interrupting the filling process.
Aside from loading the lid tubes, the entire process operates without human intervention. The machine can be loaded with up to 280 tubes at once, enabling 24-hour continuous operation without the need for operator supervision.
Installation and configuration of the system typically take 5 to 7 days. What sets this equipment apart—beyond its unique high-capacity loading system—is that only Unit-Fine machines allow forklift loading of all 280 tubes simultaneously, and the operator interface communicates in the local language of the country, requiring no foreign language skills for operation.
