This peptone is produced via enzyme hydrolysis of broadbean protein. It is a peptone that can be designated non-animal, non-GMO and non-allergen. Kosher and Halal certified on a continuous basis. Broadbean peptone is characterized by excellent fertility, widespread application and a particularly good results with lactic acid bacteria (Lactobacilli, Streptococci, etc). Kosher Pareve certification is possible for this reference.
Broadbean peptone can be a good substitute for meat peptones with certain industrially-important strains. Typical use involves bacterial growth (biomass in the probiotics industry) or enzyme production. Kosher Pareve is also available.
